Before filing, search existing and pending marks and choose the relevant classes for the actual goods or services. Similar marks, descriptive wording and incorrect classification can create objections.
The Registry's online process includes applicant details, a representation of the mark, a description of goods or services and the prescribed fee. Supporting documents may be needed in some circumstances.
After filing, follow the application status and any examination, publication or opposition steps through the official Registry. Registration is not guaranteed by filing.
