Why PPE compliance cannot be proven today
The problem
Helmet, vest and glove compliance is enforced by supervisors who cannot be at every gate, and it cannot be proven for a safety audit or an insurer. Violations are remembered, not recorded, and the compliance percentage in the safety review is an estimate.

A 2 MP PoE camera at the gate streams to an edge AI box running person detection with helmet, vest and glove classification. Each entry is scored, a compliance percentage is computed per shift and gate, and a snapshot is saved for every violation with the time and gate. Nothing leaves the site.

Does it identify individual workers?
Not in the pilot — it detects people and PPE, not identities. Face recognition is deliberately excluded; violations are handled by gate and shift.
Which PPE can it detect?
Helmets, high-visibility vests and gloves out of the box; goggles, harnesses and boots can be added with a short retraining on your site's images.
Where is the video stored?
Video is processed live on the edge box; only violation snapshots and scores are kept, on site, for the retention period you set.
