Tilt Sensor

A tilt sensor is a device designed to detect and measure the inclination or angular position of an object relative to gravity. It determines whether an object is tilted and, in advanced models, measures the degree and direction of tilt, converting this information into an electrical or digital signal for monitoring, control, or safety applications.

Tilt sensors operate using various technologies, including MEMS accelerometers, electrolytic sensors, mercury switches, or ball-in-tube mechanisms. Basic tilt sensors provide on/off output when a tilt threshold is exceeded, while advanced sensors offer precise, continuous angle measurements along one or more axes.

Modern tilt sensors are compact, reliable, and energy-efficient, capable of monitoring both static and dynamic tilt conditions. They can be easily integrated into automation systems, industrial machinery, robotics, safety devices, and IoT platforms.

Tilt sensors are widely used in construction equipment, automotive systems, robotics, consumer electronics, industrial machinery, and structural monitoring, where accurate tilt detection ensures safety, operational efficiency, and precise motion control.
