Why the inbound leg goes dark

The problem

Between the supplier's gate and your plant, a truck is a phone number. ETAs are guesses, the receiving bay is staffed for a truck that arrives four hours late, and an outbound container's departure time is whatever the security register says.

IP67 GPS trackers with cellular (or LoRaWAN in the yard) backhaul are fixed to five containers or trailers. A dashboard shows live position, computes ETA, raises geofence alerts at the supplier gate, your gate and the customer's, and logs dwell time at each. One outdoor LoRaWAN gateway covers the yard for battery-friendly reporting on site.
