Product Description
The Milesight UG56 Industrial LoRaWAN® Gateway is a compact, high-performance 8-channel (half-duplex) industrial IoT gateway designed to connect LoRaWAN® sensors and devices across factories, smart buildings, campuses, smart metering installations and other indoor networks. Built on the Semtech SX1302 concentrator and a quad-core 1.3 GHz, 64-bit Arm Cortex-A35 processor, it supports around 2,000 LoRaWAN® end devices with a 10-minute uplink interval under the manufacturer's stated assumptions.
UG56 delivers long-range connectivity of up to 2 km in urban areas and up to 15 km in open/rural line-of-sight locations, depending on antenna, installation and RF conditions. It provides 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with IEEE 802.3af PoE and built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, while 4G LTE cellular backhaul is available on optional variants. The gateway includes an embedded network server and integrates with mainstream LoRaWAN® platforms including The Things Stack and ChirpStack.
Designed for easy deployment and remote management, the gateway supports Milesight DeviceHub and Milesight Development Platform, embedded Node-RED, a Python SDK, packet filtering, noise analysis, network-failover features, VPN options and MQTT/HTTP/HTTPS integration. BACnet/IP and Modbus bridging help connect LoRaWAN® device data to industrial controllers and building management systems.
A rugged IP30 black metal enclosure, 110 × 75 × 24 mm dimensions and industrial operating range of −20°C to +60°C make it suitable for indoor industrial deployments, cabinets and technical rooms. Power is supplied via 802.3af PoE or a 5V/2A USB-C input.
Ordering information: LoRaWAN® frequency variants include IN865 for India, EU868, US915, AU915, AS923 and others. Select the correct regional frequency and confirm whether LTE backhaul is required before purchase. Price and precise frequency variant are pending confirmation. Optional LTE, DIN-rail hardware and external accessories depend on the configuration ordered.
