Product Description

The VVM004 is a WCS6800-based Hall effect current sensor module with a split-through sensor case for industrial and commercial AC/DC current monitoring. Remove the sensor case, place the conductor in the 11 × 8 mm opening and lock the case to install it without disconnecting the measured conductor.

It measures up to ±35 A DC or 25 A RMS AC, with 65 mV/A analog output sensitivity at a 5 V supply. An adjustable preset sets the positive-current over-current threshold. A dedicated active-low digital output and red LED indicate over-current.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can VVM004 measure both AC and DC current?
Yes. VVM004 uses Hall effect sensing for DC currents up to ±35 A and AC currents up to 25 A RMS.
What supply voltage and analog output does it use?
Use a 5 V DC supply. Sensitivity is 65 mV/A, with a 2.5 V zero-current reference. Calculate current in amperes as (Vout − 2.5) / 0.065.
How do I set the over-current threshold?
Turn the onboard preset clockwise to increase the threshold or anticlockwise to decrease it. The o/c pin goes LOW and the red LED lights during over-current. A threshold cannot be set for negative current.
What are the aperture, dimensions and isolation specifications?
The split-through conductor opening measures 11 × 8 mm and the board measures 49 × 30 mm. Remove the sensor case, place the wire and lock the case to install. The datasheet specifies 4000 V electrical isolation, bandwidth greater than 20 kHz and nearly zero magnetic hysteresis.
Does it support wireless or remote configuration?
No wireless interface or built-in remote configuration is specified. Read current through the analog output and adjust the threshold locally using the preset. Remote Configuration Support refers to seller support availability.
