VVM312 - 400V 100A DC Isolated Voltage and Current Sensor Module with Serial UART Communication MODBUS Compatible

Low Stock, 1 left
VVM312 400V 100A isolated DC voltage and Hall effect current sensor module

Product Description

The VVM312 provides isolated DC voltage measurement from 0 to 400 V and Hall effect current measurement up to 100 A for industrial and commercial monitoring. Its WCS1600 sensor measures current without a shunt resistor or breaking the measured conductor.

The module provides 1.5 kV DC isolation between the measured voltage and communication lines. A TTL UART interface supplies voltage and current readings, with programmable baud rate and serial calibration commands. Modbus RTU slave operation is supported through an external TTL-to-RS485 converter. The compact 80 × 36 mm board operates from a 9–24 V DC auxiliary supply.

Frequently Asked Questions

What voltage and current can the VVM312 measure?
The VVM312 measures 0–400 V DC and DC current up to 100 A using a WCS1600 Hall effect sensor. Current measurement does not require a shunt resistor or a break in the measured conductor.
What supply and isolation does it provide?
The auxiliary supply is 9–24 V DC. The datasheet specifies 1.5 kV DC isolation between measured voltage and communication lines. The 400 V measurement input is separate from the auxiliary supply; observe the VIN terminal polarity.
Does the module support Modbus RTU?
Yes, through an external TTL-to-RS485 converter. The default slave ID is 1; IDs 001–247 are supported. Send SLVXXX to set the ID, MOD to enter Modbus mode, and SERION to return to regular serial mode. Regular UART data streaming is unavailable during Modbus operation.
What serial settings and data are available?
The default is 9600 baud; 19200 is also supported. BAU1 selects 9600 and BAU2 selects 19200, followed by the instructed reset. Voltage and current data are transmitted three times per second. Follow the datasheet pin labels and converter-specific wiring table.
How do I calibrate voltage and current readings?
Apply a known voltage and send CALXXX.XX, for example CAL054.60 for 54.6 V. For current calibration, apply a known current and send CLIXXX.XX, for example CLI025.00 for 25 A. Calibration factors are stored automatically. Use higher calibration values for better accuracy. Send ZER with no current flowing to remove the zero-current offset.

Other Information

Applications: test and measurement, instrumentation and control systems, motor control, industrial automation, solar systems, battery chargers and electric vehicles.

Connect a 9–24 V DC auxiliary supply separately from the measured voltage input. Observe VIN polarity and the current-flow arrow. Follow the manufacturer's converter-specific connection table; the module's Rx/Tx labels reflect its documented pin convention.

Voltage and current readings stream three times per second in serial mode. Modbus mode requires an external TTL-to-RS485 converter. Calibration factors are stored automatically; use higher known voltage/current values for better calibration accuracy. Send ZER with no current flowing to remove offset.

Remote Configuration Support indicates seller support availability. No wireless interface, hazardous-area certification or other product certification is stated in the supplied datasheet.
