Product Description
EM500-SMTC Soil Moisture, Temperature & Conductivity Sensor is a rugged outdoor LoRaWAN soil monitoring system designed to measure soil moisture, soil temperature and soil electrical conductivity (EC) simultaneously.
Its corrosion-resistant soil probe connects to a weather-protected LoRaWAN transceiver, enabling remote field monitoring for smart agriculture, irrigation management, greenhouse control, horticulture and golf-course maintenance.
The sensor measures soil moisture from 0 to 100% , temperature from −40°C to +80°C and electrical conductivity from 0 to 20,000 µS/cm .
The transceiver provides IP67 protection while the buried soil probe is rated IP68 .

- Soil temperature range −40°C to +80°C; accuracy ±0.5°C, resolution 0.1°C.
- Electrical conductivity measurement 0–20,000 µS/cm; ±3% accuracy through 10,000 µS/cm and ±5% above 10,000 µS/cm.
- Electrical conductivity resolution 10 µS/cm up to 10,000 µS/cm and 50 µS/cm from 10,000–20,000 µS/cm.
- Three-prong corrosion-resistant soil probe offers IP68 protection for buried installation.
- LoRaWAN transmitter is IP67 with a 2 m cable connecting the soil probe.
