Product Description

The VVM002 is a Hall effect current sensor module for AC and DC current measurement in industrial and commercial systems. A conductor passes through its 9.0 mm sensing aperture, allowing current monitoring without an electrical connection to the measured conductor.

The module measures up to ±100 A DC or 70 A RMS AC and provides a proportional analog voltage output with 22 mV/A sensitivity at a 5 V supply. An adjustable preset sets the positive-current over-current threshold, with a dedicated active-low digital output and red status LED.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the VVM002 measure both AC and DC current?
Yes. It supports DC current measurement up to ±100 A and AC current measurement up to 70 A RMS using Hall effect sensing.
What power supply and output does the module use?
Use a 5 V DC supply. The analog output sensitivity is 22 mV/A, with a 2.5 V zero-current reference. Current in amperes = (Vout − 2.5) / 0.022.
How is the over-current threshold adjusted?
Adjust the onboard preset clockwise to increase the threshold or anticlockwise to decrease it. The o/c pin goes LOW and the red LED lights during over-current. A negative-current threshold cannot be set.
What conductor size and board dimensions are supported?
The sensing aperture is 9.0 mm in diameter. The board measures 49 × 30 mm. The datasheet specifies 4000 V electrical isolation and bandwidth greater than 20 kHz.
Does the VVM002 have wireless or remote configuration?
No wireless interface or built-in remote configuration is specified. Current is read through the analog output and the trip threshold is adjusted locally. The Remote Configuration Support field refers to seller support availability.
